Holiday? To the beach!
Jamaica’s Emancipation Day, Friday August 1, 2014
This holiday was well awaited, I rose at 10, had breakfast and started fixing up my blog. I had created it last night and was ready to explore. I sat at my living room table, still adorned in my night clothes -a tank top and shorts- on my laptop; looking wide-eyed at all the different settings and options WordPress had to offer. My phone started ringing and ‘Obi’ popped up on screen, I answered and unlike myself, he had plans for today, “I feeling a beach vibes enuh, you wanna call up some of your girls and we head to Fort Clarence?” He asked. “Hell yes, I have not a thing doing,” I replied, he hung up and I immediately sent Lexxi a message asking if she was free to go to the beach at about 2. She asked the details like with who and which beach and was ready to go, she had no plans either. So I started to pack my bags and get ready.
When Obi came to pick me up, the seating arrangement was a sight: Talecia was in the passenger’s seat, while Obi in the driver’s, Jody sat behind him with Chippy to her left and Lexxi in his lap, Cespo sat beside Chippy and I had to travel in his lap. As odd as the seating had to be, it was a comfortable ride to Portmore. We went to Fort Clarence Beach.

It was a really good day, I’m glad we went to the beach 🙂
