Saturday August 16, 2014… At Night…

Anime Nation is an annual convention for all things Japanese, in Jamaica, where patrons cosplay as their favourite characters from mangas, animes, video games, or even cartoons and fairytales. This event is put on by JaCosplayaz with sponsorship and support from the Japanese Embassy in Jamaica. I’ve been every year and they never disappoint 🙂 There is the best cosplay contest, live band performances, educational segments about Japan, plushies, keychains, mangas and food on sale plus a small video game area where you may challenge your friends to a round. After all the activities and the cosplay contest has been wrapped up, there is a rave to end the night with a bang! I mean how can it be Jamaica without an after party. I cosplayed as an ordinary school girl this year, and my best friend, Autumne, was Raven from Teen Titans. My other best friend and the girl I have to thank for introducing me to anime in grade 9, Davia, and Autumne’s sister Summer didn’t cosplay this year.
