Mellow vibrations

Puff puff pass…
We stood conversing,
jokes followed by laughter
high in the air.
The same air; swallowed by comforting thoughts.

We rocked side by side to the sweet sounds of reggae,
dipping in tune with the chimes of percussion.
Not so greatly singing along,
word for word to Protoje’s song.

The vibrations of the bass moves through me,
clashing and playing in time with my heartbeat.

More laughter ensues.
My mind starts swirling.
My body stirs,
