Last week Friday was Bob Marley’s 70th Birthday so I had to join the festivities 😀 I went to the free concert at the Bob Marley Museum on 56 Hope Road. I got there late though, because of work, it was from 4-8pm and ended right on time.
When I arrived an upcoming band just finished their performance so the host continued the program and up next was the unveiling of Bob Marley’s renovated 1977 Series III Land-Rover. ATL Automotive Limited, Sandals Resorts International and the Marley family worked with ITC representatives on the two-year renovation project to source parts as far as Africa and England.
Watch the short video of how they did it here.
I went with a part of the Armshouse crew 😛 Denni, Jovan & Meikle with newcomer Minkah 🙂

The yard space of the museum isn’t very big but it was ok for the venue; I loved the décor. It was packed to capacity lol, people had to stand in the seating area for the One Love Café too.
I missed the performances before 5pm so for me, first up was Iba Mahr who called on Tarrus Riley to do their remix of his song Diamond Sox.

Next up was Kabaka Pyramid!

Followed by Runkus 😍 he was burning out the bad vibes with incense. He is an upcoming reggae artiste and a rebel to look out for in 2015.

Then the bongo band, No-Maddz, graced the stage.

The one and only Chronixx closed the show. It was so nice to see him converse with the crowd 🙂

Most of the performances were acoustic and I loved the vibe 🙂 R.I.P. Robert Nesta Marley.
