Writing 201: Journey

A bus precariously packed with percussion, and drummers trying not to nod

A four hour drive to Negril, together we trod

With Drummy drumming on the back of my seat

I stare out the window, imagining something to eat

Through twists & turns, my gut stays strong, let this journey end soon, dear God.

Day 2, Journey.

Prompt: Journey
Form: Limerick
Device: Alliteration

I can’t wait for Saturday 🙂

  1. This was amusing! The second line of the limerick should be roughly the same length as the first. The form should be: longrhyme1, longrhyme1, shortrhyme2, shortrhyme2, long rhyme1. If the three short rhymes were intentional, then excellent!

    • Thanks for the feedback 🙂 I actually didn’t know the specific lengths for the verses, (damn I could have made the second verse longer lol) and I’m glad you liked it 🙂
