Hello 🙂 I want to thank Terry from Through The Lens of My Life for tagging me to do the “Love in Ten Sentences” event, I love a challenge and I’m trying to sharpen my poetry skills so I’m going to give this a try. For all who don’t know, I’m a drummer and percussionist. I love it.
To Each His Own…Passion
Love is the riddim.
Love is the pain.
Love is the concentration.
Love is perfecting it.
Love is getting lost
in it, there’s love.
Grooving in the love.
None can stop love.
Love! when it hits.
Drumming, is my love.
My favourite quote on love is
“It is a risk to love.
What if it doesn’t work out?
Ah, but what if it does.”
-Peter McWilliams
This goes for many things, risks in life overall, you only live once, so I believe you should give it your all.

Wow! I love it!
Thank you 🙂
Great stuff! Sweet quote and so true, all of it. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Great thoughts on love you have. Just thought I’d share an old thing I wrote:
Love is a Decision
Love can start wars
and kill hearts
It can induce sickness
and create depressing arts
Love can blind
to all that matters
It can cut like a sword
Love shatters
Love can separate
what should be together
It can roar with pain
in storm cursed weather
Love can leave you standing
shaking fists toward heaven
It can make you starve
Love threatens
Love is precious and a decision
be wise before handling such a gem
Love can end wars
and mend hearts
It can cure disease
and create intoxicating art
Love can make eyes shine
staring into a soul
It can heal your wounds
love glows
Love can bring together
for sharing blue skies again
It can shout with victory
and end the rain
Love can make you kneel
giving thanks as you sing
It’s more precious than gold
Wearing love as a ring

Great poem and quote! Thanks for participating! 🙂
You’re a drummer! Cool! I’m not a “drummer,” but I nock the dust off my djembe occasionally with a group of people that gather to drum for fun 🙂
Lol! when you put it like that, lol! Thank you 🙂 don’t be offended but I’m laughing at you, that made my day 🙂 I’m sure you play well 🙂
I don’t know if I play well or not, but I think I have a fairly decent sense of rhythm (unlike my husband 🙂 ), and I have a lot of fun when drumming. That’s what counts right? And speaking of rhythm, I’m listening to your playlist from the 25… can’t keep still in my seat 🙂
…and I’m glad I could make you laugh 🙂
Niice lol and that is what counts 🙂 I’m glad you’re enjoying the soca 🙂
Great playlist! 🙂
[…] of them (is that even allowed? I’m quite new to this, you see.) So, thank you to Munky and Shida Tahirah for tagging me. […]
