*On Defrost*
I’m sorry for breaking you…
The clock stopped going toc.
We stared at the big orange sign,
signifying the distance to the edge.
I was hurt and so were you
but after the end, I pulled through.
Now I’m hearing the riddim again,
and you’re still ice cold.
Poetry 101 Rehab: Thaw.
Hm… interesting. What inspired it?
Thank you, it was inspired by an ex, he’s now a really good friend of mine.
Wow. How mature. Most people i know hate their exs
Hey i hope you don’t mind but i’d like to invite you to my blog at http://www.insanitybeautiful.wordpress.com
Same with me, I see people hating all over facebook. Sure I’ll check it out 🙂
Oh what an ambiguous poem! I was originally thinking if it’s about actual defrosting, literally, but then I saw your comment that a breakup inspired your poem. I’m sorry about the negative experience – but it produced a wonderful poem! Thank you for sharing it 🙂
Thank you 🙂 Well I was saying I’m the one who’s defrosting & he’s still ice cold but there is ambiguity.
A poem that holds a lot of surprises…
I love it.
And I can identify myself with it so I am really grateful to have been reading. Thanks for sharing.
Let’s just hope you don’t take too long defrosting. The warmth is always welcoming and more comfortable.
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it, but really I’m the one on defrost 🙂
