Sight

We live black and white for we are too self-centered to see in colour. Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Challenge: Black&White. So I got a poem out of it as well 🙂 I believe we see in black and white, although we know we see in […]

Raheem Brown

Hi guys 🙂 I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday so far. Today I’m shouting out my current little crush, or maybe it’s his remix of “679” by Fetty Wep that I like. Check out this video clip of Raheemthesinger on Instagram. I’m a fool đŸ˜©đŸ˜‚ […]

What A Mess

The crowd scattered, adults, their children, and teens running in all different dictions, concealing the culprit. People jumped over the benches of the stadium refusing to stay in the standstill line to go down the stairs, every man for themselves in all thoughts, as the pushing and shoving continued, sparing no one. The faithful few that loved excitement formed a circle around a girl clad in a green and black ensemble, some recording video while others watched in shock, taking in the whole story to tell their friends later. The girl’s loud scream stood out in the chaos of the retreating crowd. She flung off the bright green wig that blazed bright red leaving a fuzzy canerowed head that was obviously ready to be redid.

“This was the disturbing highlight of the 2017 High School Track and Field Championships, after they announced the undefeated champions had taken another year under their belt .” Said the news reporter at the end of the short video clip.

The video received a raucous laugh from Roi, he was all but rolling on the bed, while I chuckled.

“Rhayne that made my Birthday! I can’t believe someone set her wig on fire.” He said through chuckles, hardly recovering from the scene we just watched.

“Don’t laugh Roi! That’s so mean.” I responded, chiding him.

“The poor unsuspecting girl, it’s not her fault her school is undefeated.” I added shaking my head.

“Remind me to watch the seven p.m. news every night.” He responded.

I rolled my eyes, “change the channel to a nice movie; I wanna cuddle.” I said holding back a shiver, it’s cold inside this cabin.

“For a small cabin it’s kinda cold.” I added.

“Come here.” He said pulling me closer, yay! cuddle time.

I smiled as he pulled me into his arms, my back to his chest, I pulled the sheet over us to make it cozier, though his breath on my neck had already made me grow warm.

So I was checking my email this morning and saw a prompt from The Daily Post titled Non-Regional Diction, and I had to join in on the fun! “Write about whatever you’d like, but write using regional slang, your dialect, or in your accent.” Suh […]

Heart Of Gold

The sun shone as bright as it felt, warming my chocolate coloured skin, while the wind battled for dominance, the cool sea breeze tuning out the heat. We strolled off of the concrete, removing our shoes as we touched the sand. As if in sync we kept walking along the beach taking in the view, the deck now far behind us. I sat down cross legged and dug my feet into the sand, the pleasant warmth travelled upwards, settling all over. I looked up to see an amused Jiraiya, staring down at me with a small smile, his low afro eclipsed by the sun.

“You know I thought you would have ran straight to the waves.” He said giving me the same look.

“In my head I knew the sand would have felt nice if I took a seat, so I did, and I was right.” I said with a smile.

He responded with a chuckle, taking a seat next to me, legs outstretched, resting his bag by his side. This was perfect. The sun and wind were in sync, just as he and I. The sand held warmth that the butterflies in my tummy simply loved. We sat in silence as comfortable as my bed on a Sunday morning, just breathing. Enjoying the view of the playful waves rolling in and rushing back, teasing.

I turned towards him, only to see him staring at me. So focused and intently like he was watching TV. I was so lost in nature’s trance, I didn’t even realize. I looked into his eyes and what I saw caused my face to go warm, if it could be seen, my cheeks would be red. He noticed.

“I’m ready to dive in.” I said standing up hastily. I wonder if he knows, he makes me nervous.

“Okay.” He replied without moving.

This time I didn’t miss his strong gaze as I took off the dress covering my bikini clad body. I turned around and looked at him.

“You coming?”

He stood up and took off his shirt, revealing a well defined chest, and abs, leaving him in just his swim trunks.

“Meet me there!” I shout as I take off.

“Tiye wait! Take out your earrings.”

“Why?”

“The sea loves gold.”

Hi Everyone 🙂

My feel for today is a good vibe, (even though I don’t have drumming later 🙁 ) to relax my ever racing mind. I love this song “No Time Fi Badmind” by A-Game, it’s perfect for my mood, and the music video is nice too, it shows A-Game going through different parishes and having a blast.
