The Dreaded Adverb

As you may (or may not) know, I’m trying to be (an actual) writer, so I tend to be drawn to articles relaying rules and tips on how to be a better writer. Today I’ll be sharing a tip with you.

“Adverbs do lend verbs a glimmer of meaning, but it’s the difference between gold-plated and solid gold.

Go for the real thing.

Avoid adverbs.”
