Quaint by GSC

To me, Gabrielle Clarke is a Jane of all trades. When I first met her, she was trying her hand at hair braiding, and I must say she did it really well, I was a customer at a point. Now she has started designing clothes and bags, and I must support her new venture as her styles are beautiful.

Her designs go by the name Quaint by GSC, and with such an interesting name I asked what inspired it?

GSC: I wanted a name that stood out. I didn’t want a typical “Gabby’s Designs” so I said okay, “what kinda clothes will I be making?” then I thought, things that basically stand out, things that are different, kinda boho, rootsy and rare. I looked for words that meant those things and somehow I ended up with “Quaint.” I still wanted to make it personal so I added the “by GSC.”

I also asked her why she started designing?

GSC: So, I was encouraged by someone to enter a clothing line into Rex Uber Fashion Show on Noverber 21, 2015. I was scared but then I decided to take the chance. So after making my final decision, I decided that okay, If I’m doing this I’m going to do it big. As such, I started a business. I also decided that my first line would be afrocentric. My plan was to deviate after the first line took off but then I realized how much people loved it and I saw all the possibilities that there was, so I decided to do it all the way and that’s how “Quaint by GSC” was birthed. By the way Quaint by definition is anything strangely attractive or unusually interesting hence my slogan “UNUSUALLY INTERESTING.”

So there you have it, a new unusually interesting clothing line to shop from, as I said, and as you can see her designs are beautiful. So take a look on her Instagram and Facebook page for more photos, then message her any enquiries.
