Hey everyone, you’d never guess what happened… I won this box! This Coco was a surprise. I had entered a competition I saw on the Sugarplum Box Instagram page, it was a BLK/OPL (Black Opal) makeup giveaway. I’m subscribed to the Sugarplum Box website, so at the …

Hello loves, today I’m sharing a gem I found, it is Earthtones Designs. Dominique (owner) hand makes healing jewelry, which is jewelry with crystals or gem stones as some may call it. Her work is inspired by nature, and she sticks to the mantra of “Wear your intentions.” I don’t remember when I followed Earthtones on Instagram(IG) but one day I was scrolling down my timeline and I saw a photo of loc jewelry with an African Jade gem stone on it and I was like wow, this is so pretty. So I messaged Dominique enquiring about it, though I wasn’t ready to purchase it at the time.
Fast forward to last week I sent her another message about the loc jewelry but that specific piece had been sold. The pieces she had on hand were too big for my loc, so she said she could make one to fit, and that she would bring the crystals she had so I could chose what I wanted. At that time all I knew was that I wanted a stone from the earth element. So I did a bit of research based off of what I saw on her IG and decided I wanted a piece of peridot as my embellishment. That is the addition to my Coco basket, custom made loc jewelry with a peridot stone. It came with a piece of sage for cleansing, and an information card stating the metaphysical properties of the stone.

I’ve seen these little grey beads floating about on social media but with my monotonous bracelet selection I payed them no mind. In my quest for Jamaican brands though, this company came up once again, Story & Myth Blessing Beads, and I finally patronized them. This Coco is my first Blessing Bead Bracelet. They are handmade protection jewelry, and each piece is made with intention and love to provide blessing and protection to the wearer.
I chose the Turtle as my charm, it stands for Divine Timing. The site explains each charm, and “the turtle has the wisdom of knowing that all things come in perfect and divine timing.” This was in line with my theme for 2017, “Trod by faith” because it’s a thing between my best friend and I, it simply means to trust that all that will go right, will go right; so go through with your plans. “Turtles teach us to enjoy the journey of our life, trusting in the flow and partaking of the blessings that are bestowed along the way.” Once I saw this I knew the turtle was the one for me.
Christmas season was a time of shopping for me, as you may not have noticed 🙂 Morgan’s Creek provides natural soaps, skincare products, and candles. I had heard good things about the Morgan’s Creek store, and one day in November I was in Sovereign Centre with …
Ngozi Sweet Blessings
I first found out about this brand a year ago, at A Jamaican Made Christmas, where I bought some incense sticks from them. Ngozi Sweet Blessings makes soy candles, wax melts, organic soaps, butters, and oils.
I bucked them up at the event again this year; for this Coco I bought two wax melts. In the scents Hot Fudge Brownie, and Black Raspberry Vanilla; they’re both lovely smelling but the brownie one was for me, and the other I gave away as a gift.
I’m in love with the Coco!♫ Listen, the Hot Fudge Brownie scent is so yummy ♥
P.S. My really cute oil/wax burner is from Earth Elements Ja, Shop #10 Southdale Plaza, in Kingston.
