Today we have Jah9’s newest single, “Love Has Found I”. 9 released it yesterday, in celebration of Empress Menen Asfaw’s Earthstrong (birthday). In the song, Jah9 croons about finally finding her one true love. A man embodying the likeness of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I. You get to hear a different range to her voice in this song, you can feel the soulfulness in each utterance. Just as if you got your dream man too. It brings a kind of happiness.
The photos for the accompanying visuals are by Nickii Kane with styling by Wade. While the track was produced by Clive Hunt. Take a listen to “Love Has Found I” by Jah9, and tell me what you think in the comments below.
“Love has found I… Finally….
Taking it slow but not letting go.”

On this Expression Wednesday, we have new music from Jah9, last week she blessed us with “Feel Good”. A reggae track enlightening us on the importance of physical health. Jah9 urges us to surrender to the high vibration of the tings weh mek yuh body feel good, no matter where. This song really is the in-depth variation of “drink water and mind your own business”; she speaks of keeping hydrated and practicing exercise, whether yoga, dancing, or otherwise, all on a smooth reggae riddim. As a yoga practitioner and teacher, and a believer of the holistic and natural ways of healing; this is what she wants to bring to the world, and what better way than through her art form.
I must commend Nickii Kane for the accompanying visuals, they are immaculate, and that yellow, it really brings an air of positivity. Take a listen to “Feel Good”, let me know what you think in the comments below.

Hi Everyone 🙂
Today is International Women’s Day, it is the official day to celebrate our women. To celebrate the achievements of women, to celebrate all who have paved the way for women to have equal rights and opportunities. To stand up and fight, and protest against the abuse that women face, simply because they are women. Today I’ll be sharing a song by one of my favourite female artistes, “Humble Mi” by Jah9.
Happy International Women’s Day ☺
Hi Everyone 🙂
We’re in the midst of Reggae Month, so I must do my part by sharing some of the new music slashing through the reggae industry. Jah9 released her album “9” near the end of 2016 to bring us love and light into the new year. And a song that really touched on some deep problems in society, and brings out the inner warrior, in me personally, is “Unafraid.”
9 is available in stores, also follow Jah9 on Instagram @jah9online and find her on Facebook at Jah9online.

Hello Everyone 🙂
I’d like to highlight how Kulture Shocked celebrates Reggae Month, this only goes to show you don’t have to be in Jamaica to celebrate.
“I would post a quote from a reggae song on the whiteboard outside my room along with the singer’s name and song title. Feel free to join in the Reggae Month Whiteboard Series. It doesn’t have to be on a whiteboard, it could be a tweet or a status update.”
