Today we have “Potential” by Jeeby Lyricist, the first single from his forthcoming EP. The track was mastered by Damitjon and produced by Shawn Smith. It has a Neo Soul feel to it, Jeeby poetically recites the lyrics over a hip-hop rhythm. He starts off with the line, “Have you ever been afraid of your potential?” and follows up urging you to chase your dreams. The verses are filled with motivation, pushing you to put your goals first, and ensure you protect yourself, mentally and emotionally.
In telling his own story, Jeeby provides his lyrics as a guide for us to do the same, and follow our dreams.

Can you believe school is getting to me already? It along with a bit of personal things have been taking up my time. I’m very sorry for this late post, I decided to post this song today and not hold it ’til next week because y’all need to hear this. Y’all need to know what Jeeby Lyricist has been up to. He released “Come For Me” not too long ago and I love it. His rapping on the hip hop styled instrumental is so smooth. Jeeby touches on topics that linger in the deep crevasses of the mind and soul, some of the thoughts you may find hard to share with others. This one is to your lover, to your best friend, to your soulmate. He thanks her for supporting him through his lowest moments as well as his highest. Praising her for being there as a motivator in his life, “Come for me” is all he’s asking, that when he’s down, she will be around; all while playing on the sexual innuendo. Bwoy…must be nice. Take a listen to “Come For Me” by Jeeby Lyricist featuring Courtni.

This is the week following Jamaica’s Independence Day so I had to share this song with you. It’s no Natural Mystic but they share a host of gems about Jamaica, as well as giving shout outs to the other Caribbean Islands. Kione does a short intro followed by Jeeby Lyricist rapping about the niceness that makes up our homeland, Jamaica, he displays a catalog of things we’re to be grateful for. The usual playfulness of BLVK H3RO in his flows finished the song perfectly, and we cyaan (can’t) complain about his sweet voice.
This banger was produced by Wavy Jones, it’s a little over 2 minutes of pure vibes. It had me rocking all the way through, even though I haven’t learnt all the lyrics just yet. Giving praises where they’re due, the artwork is by Monique Kidd. Take a listen to Blessed Indies.
Let’s give thanks for new music! Today Jeeby gives us his own remix of Jidenna’s “Bambi” crooning lyrics about his home town, Montego Bay. He sings of the rampant criminal activities causing destruction of the city, as well as keeping head strong through the fight. This sad story is the reality many persons face daily, take a listen to “MoBaby.”

Hi Everyone 🙂
Today I’m sharing “On A Wave” by Jeeby Lyricist, to me he’s rightly named; listen to the song and pay attention to the endless flows he displays. He’s not the only one pushing badness on the track though, he features Courtni, who let’s us know she’s ready to “siddung pon any beat weh Wavy make.” I had to share this song today because Jeeby and Courtni cleanly rode the wave that Wavy Jones and Kvje produced. The riddim gives a cool, and mellow vibe, somehow mimicking ocean waves.
More credit is in order, the lovely cover art was created by Abigail, @TinySunThing. Take a listen to On A Wave, and tell me what you think, I hope you like it as much as I do.
