Selfless

Heart so beautiful,
Cursed, given a love so pure,
With whom to share it?

Rainy Day

Dreaming of sunlight,
Trudging though a rainy day,
In Kingston City.

Solitaire

Some people build walls around themselves.
Some just have partitions.
In their cubicle, their own world.
Just delegated, yet they behave segregated.
The real world is right in front of you
Feel the sunshine and the dew.
Don’t lock yourself away.
Partitions aren’t made of steel
nor made to seal you away.

A Good Thing

You’re so secluded,
your emotions, your thoughts.
I’m still a little lost
as it comes to you…us.

I can tell it’s not just lust.
There’s a connection, we click.
And as lost as I may be
I can’t get you out of my mind.

Just like a Rubik’s cube I’m trying,
so hard, to figure you out.
Just like Coffee, I can’t get your taste
out of my mouth.

On the verge of putting the puzzle away.
they always said, “All good things come to an end.”
Just don’t ruin a good thing,
before it could be great.

Story of My Life

Sitting here trying to bust a rhyme
feeling the pressure in the back of my mind,
because of this deadline.
The chocolate in the fridge is calling
ooh that beer, nope, you won’t catch me falling,
because of this deadline.
I stare in space, trying to keep a steady pace
honestly I won’t work in haste,
because of this deadline.

Poetry 101 Rehab: Deadline.

Stormy

Eyes downcast, skies overcast.
Thunder rumbling matching my state,
of mind, minding my  own business.
The lightening mimicking the fire in my eyes.
The bad vibes drifting away in the wind
But when will we see the light again?

Poetry 101 rehab: Dark.

The Right Thing

You well and know
you don’t want the Earth to be hurt.
The farmers plant & you expect things to grow
how can they? when you abuse the dirt.
There’s one Earth, let’s get it right this time,
Don’t continue this cycle.
Do your part, clean up the grime
and the more reliable, recycle.

Poetry 101 Rehab: Recycle.
