Only in Darkness,
The good people shine like gems,
Stuck deep in the fight.

It Will Come

Wishing on the stars,
Wanting to find your own joy,
You will also bloom.

Dancing Bachata

Colour me with red,
Let us dance while the warmth spreads,
I desire the fire.

Shine brightly for me,
Please stay out today, I plead,
The waves are a tease.

Upcoming Events!

The weekend starts from Thursday right? This week seems to be about the arts, and it warms my heart. To be honest, there’s always something to do here in Kingston but I hope you really come and check my list, and pick something. Myself will be going to quite a few of these, and I’ll try my best to do some recap posts ๐Ÿ™‚ Continue reading “Upcoming Events!”

My Mother’s Love

I cradle this baby in my arms.
Unknowingly conceived,
becoming my sweetest dream.

I pour in love, courage and faith.
Shut the pressure cooker tightly,
and hope, and hope, and hope.

That my work of art, comes out just right.
Though I may have doubts, you will always have my faith.
To grasp onto.

Happy World Poetry Day โ™ฅ

Work Hard

You have to work hard,
Through all the sweat and fears, through
This sweltering heat.

Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Challenge: Sweat & Heat.

We live black and white
for we are too self-centered
to see in colour.

Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Challenge: Black&White.

So I got a poem out of it as well ๐Ÿ™‚

I believe we see in black and white,
although we know we see in colour.
And we claim that we’re right,
with all our might.

We trod, shoulders squared, earphones in,
just trying to be on our own way.
But when you look back at it,
what did you really see?

You go on your journey, seeing
in black and white.
If only you were looking,
then would you have seen the colours.
